intro
Illinois Theatre students in THEA 402/GSD 490: Designing Immersive Adventures – Escape Rooms have partnered with INFO 418: Makerspace – Escape Rooms and this semester’s client, the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology (IGB), to design an educational escape room for teens. Once the designs are finalized and the puzzles fabricated, the escape room will be installed in IGB’s Mobile Science Learning Lab, where it is designed to serve as an educational tool at upcoming events throughout Illinois. Students in THEA 402/GSD 490 are designing the theme, narrative, and environment, creating an immersive storytelling experience within the game.
