Eme Ospina-López (MFA ’23 Media Design) won best production design at the 2024 Non-Equity Jeff Awards for Tambo & Bones. This was one of eight awards overall for Tambo & Bones including best production of a play, best director, best principal performers, best lighting design, best sound design, and best original music in a play. Ospina-López, a video artist hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, was the visionary behind the projections that played a critical role in part two of the play. The March 2024 ceremony and gala marked the 50th anniversary of the Non-Equity Joseph Jefferson Awards which honor the excellent work across Chicago’s non-equity theatre community.
