About Danny Yoerges
BIO
Danny Yoerges is a professional actor, writer, director, and theatre educator. A 14-year member of Actors Equity Association, he has appeared in regional theatre across the country, on television, and in the Broadway National Tour of the Tony Award-winning War Horse. Professionally represented in Chicago, Danny regularly travels for commercial, film, and television acting work. His background in improvisation, movement, and musical theatre serves as the basis for his theatrical devising and directorial endeavors, including the multi-disciplinary performance piece Love Sucks, which he has written and co-directed with his wife, Rachel Rizzuto, annually since 2016. Danny and Rachel also co-directed The Wild Party in 2023 for Lyric Theatre at Illinois, for whom he also served as assistant director to Nathan Gunn for their production of Le Nozze di Figaro in 2022. Most recently, Danny served as Visiting Assistant Professor for Acting, Voice & Speech at Millikin University in Decatur. He holds an MFA in acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a BFA in acting from UNC School of the Arts.
