David Krupla

Biography

David is the Associate Lighting Director at the Krannert Center and a member of the Lighting Design Faculty. He previously served as the Lighting Director at the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center and as the Resident Lighting Designer at the Studio Theatre Tierra Del Sol located in The Villages, Florida. He has also worked with such companies and institutions as Nebraska Shakespeare, Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, the Santa Fe Opera, Great Lakes Theatre, Porthouse Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, Near West Theatre, Weathervane Playhouse, Hathaway Brown Theatre Insitute, and Cuyahoga Community College. David received his MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his BA in Lighting Design and Technologies from Kent State University.
