Eben Alguire

bio

Eben Alguire is a technical production specialist who has worked all over the country in regional and academic production departments. They received their undergraduate degree from Beloit College in Wisconsin and their MFA from San Diego State University. While at SDSU, they developed a love for automation and mechanical effects as an extension of creative problem solving. They were the technical director for the Skylight Music Theatre up in Milwaukee where they got to experience working in full scale opera and the creation of a handful of a few works, including The Snow Dragon by Somtow Sucharitkul. Most recently, Eben was the technical director for the School of Theatre and Dance at the University of Florida. Eben and their family are excited to return to the midwest and to get involved with the wonderful community in Champaign-Urbana.
