About Libya Pugh
Libya Pugh is a seasoned artist and educator with a passion for the arts, a journey spanning over 25 years. With a Master of Fine Arts from The University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in Performance, Libya has honed her skills in various facets of the entertainment industry.
As performer she’s appeared in productions such as RICHARD III at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, THIS LAND WAS MADE Off Broadway at The Vineyard Theatre, and HOW TO CATCH CREATION at Geva Theatre in Rochester, New York. On cameras she’s made appearances on popular shows such as “FBI,” “Law and Order SVU,” “Jessica Jones,” “The Kindergarten Teacher,” “One Life to Live,” and “Jack’s Big Music Show.”
Beyond the stage, Libya has dedicated her expertise to educating the next generation of performers. For five years, she served as a high school theatre teacher at HUM II New Visions Charter School in the South Bronx, inspiring and mentoring young talents.
