Ryan Schultz

Biography

Ryan Schultz is the Chair of the Scenic Technology program for the Department of Theatre and also the Technical Director for the Krannert Center. Prior to joining the University of Illinois in 2016, Ryan was the Technical Director at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. There, his credits include the annual production of A Christmas Carol, Disney’s The Jungle Book adapted by Mary Zimmerman, The Iceman Cometh at the Brooklyn Academy of Music starring Nathan Lane & Brian Dennehy, Robert Fall’s & Seth Bockley’s massive interpretation of Roberto Bolaño’s 2666, and the Broadway production of War Paint starring Patti LuPone & Christine Ebersol. Ryan received his education at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
