Rebecca Goodman, a junior Theatre Studies student, was selected as a Student Director in KCACTF’s National Playwrighting Program, 2021. As one of only six directors selected from the region, she directed A Home Bar Means You’re Fine by Jayne Deely about how people cope with the “new normal” that the pandemic has brought upon everyone. The plays were presented at the Region III Conference in January.
“I was given a challenging and thought-provoking piece that provided for a great opportunity for discussion with my playwright as how to approach the work. Working with my playwright was a great learning experience for my growth as an aspiring director. I hope that the experiences I’ve gained here will help me along the way in my career.” ~Rebecca Goodman
