Sissy Anne's Bio & Resume

“When people look into our eyes, they can tell right away: We Mean It.” ~Guillermo Gómez Peña

There’s this large chance that I’m a Performance Artist in addition to being an Actor. The difference? I dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The question of if it is possible to be both lingers after coming back to university with 10+ years of professional experience under my belt. Honestly? I think that gorgeously specific side of our artform is what my more commercial side has been missing. I’ve always known that to be an Actor is to speak for those who cannot, and advocate for the lives living in the nooks and crannies our society have always been trying to erase, and yes, that does include Theme Park. (Come find me; you’ll love this one). Some might say, “She’s absolutely too much,” others might say, “She gives me permission.” And no matter the valid opinion, what I do know in my gut is the defiant art of Ensemble and the resilient protest against individuality by voicing your opinion. I am Specific. I am a Contradiction. And, for better or worse, I am an Artist. (I’m also an Improvisor, Dancer, Singer, Host, Educator) (Oh! I’m also really good at making babies smile).
